That’s where I come in. I work as a fractional Head of Marketing / CMO – senior marketing leadership for a fraction of the cost of a full-time hire. Or can complete one-off projects for a set fee.
My day rate sits between £500–£600/day + VAT, and I package that into a small number of simple, transparent offers.
FRACTIONAL HEAD OF MARKETING (RETAINED SERVICE)
For founder-led SMEs who want ongoing senior marketing leadership alongside their existing marketing resource.
I act as your part-time Head of Marketing: shaping strategy, giving your Marketing Exec clear direction, and making sure marketing actually helps you hit sales and revenue targets.
All packages include:
A monthly planning session with you (and sales, if relevant)
Clear priorities and focus for your Marketing Exec
Review and input on key campaigns, content and comms
Email/Slack/Teams support for quick questions in between
Minimum 3-month commitment (most clients end up at 6–12 months).

Have a capable Marketing Exec or generalist already in place
Need senior direction and quality control, not heavy implementation
What this typically includes:
1 x monthly strategy and planning session (60–90 minutes)
A simple, written priority plan for the next month
Review and feedback on key campaigns, emails, or content
Email/Slack support for your Marketing Exec when they’re stuck

(around 3 days of my time per month)Best if you:
Have a junior or mid-level marketer who needs more hands-on coaching
Want stronger alignment between marketing and sales
What this typically includes:
Everything in Starter, plus:
Extra time each month to dig into campaigns and performance
Direct coaching sessions with your Marketing Exec (e.g. monthly 1:1)
Help with shaping messaging, offers and campaign ideas
Support pulling together reports for owners/boards

(around 4 days of my time per month)Best if you:
Are serious about using marketing to drive growth over the next 12–18 months
Want a senior marketing presence “in the room” regularly with your leadership team
What this typically includes:
Everything in Standard, plus:
More regular involvement in key meetings (e.g. monthly leadership / board where marketing is on the agenda)
Hands-on help shaping major campaigns, product launches or brand work
Closer collaboration with sales and operations to keep everyone aligned
Marketing Leadership & Coaching
From £600–£800/month + VAT
For SMEs who don’t need an ongoing fractional Head of Marketing, but do want their Marketing Exec to step up from “order-taker” to confident, commercially-minded marketer.
Best if you:
Have someone in a Marketing Exec / Co-ordinator role
Want them to grow without you becoming their de facto mentor
What this typically includes:
A monthly leadership & planning session (you + Marketing Exec)
A monthly 1:1 coaching session with your Marketing Exec
Light support in between for questions and sanity checks
We focus on:
Helping them think more strategically (not just ticking boxes)
Giving them frameworks and feedback so they can drive revenue, not just activity
Building their confidence to push back, prioritise and say “no” where needed
This can be standalone, or combined with one of the fractional Head of Marketing packages.
Marketing & Messaging Reset
One-off project – from £2,500–£3,500 + VAT
A focused 4–6 week engagement to get you from “lots of marketing activity, not much to show for it” to a clear, written-down plan that your team can execute.
Best if you:
Feel your marketing has drifted and lost its edge
Don’t have a clear story, position or plan everyone agrees on
Want to fix the fundamentals before committing to a retainer
What this typically involves:
A review of your current marketing and sales materials
Workshops with you (and key team members) to clarify:
Who you’re really trying to reach
What you want them to do
What makes you different
A practical 3–6 month marketing plan:
Channels to focus on (and which to stop)
Campaign ideas and priorities
Simple reporting so you can track progress
You can use this as:
A standalone reset your team runs with, or
The starting point for a fractional Head of Marketing engagement.
Hands-on delivery & projects (optional add-ons)
Most of my value is in senior thinking, leadership and structure, not in becoming a cheap content machine. That said, there are times when it makes sense for me to be hands-on with specific pieces of work or building a small website.
Examples:
Core messaging and website copy for your home/about/services pages
A flagship content asset (e.g. guide, playbook, event campaign) or Sales enablement materials (one-pagers, decks, email sequences)
AI enablement, comms and process work: training AI email templates, AI-assisted workflows, better briefing and approval processes
These are usually scoped as fixed-fee projects on top of any retainer.
As a guide:
Implementation projects typically start from £800–£1,500 + VAT
for a clearly defined piece of work.A simple website will cost around £900-£1,900 + VAT plus hosting fees (paid separately).
We’ll agree scope, deliverables and timeline upfront so there are no surprises.
